Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a procedure that has been used
as a substitute for liposuction. Instead of sucking out the fat
under the skin with a vacuum, mesotherapy is be
used to dissolve the fat so that it is naturally passed from the
body. Mesotherapy is typically done by a skilled
masotherapist, instead of a surgeon. It should
be advised that a low quality provider may not provide the same
results as a skilled masotherapist. Mesotherapy
is not approved by the FDA.
Lipodissolve
The Injection of Lipodissolve for fat removal
remains somewhat controversial. In statements to the New York Times
and USA Today, the FDA has taken the position that the injection
of Lipodissolve mixtures for fat removal is an example
of “unapproved drugs for unapproved uses.” Still, multiple businesses
have initiated commercialization of Lipodissolve
by opening clinics that advertise and administer Lipodissolve
injection for fat removal. These clinics state that "Pharmacies
are permitted to compound drugs pursuant to a valid patient / physician
/ pharmacist relationship, even if the drugs have not been approved
by the FDA." The FDA has stated that it is “investigating and
evaluating” the situation.
Phosphatidylcholine
Medical researchers are experimenting with the use of Phosphatidylcholine
in a type of injection formula that will break down fat cells; to
be used as an alternative to liposuction known as Injection
lipolysis. Many claim that Phosphatidylcholine
is much less painful than liposuction, involves less risk of infection
and produces no scarring. Some clinics in the United States are
administering Phosphatidylcholine injections as
an alternative to surgical weight loss procedures.
Lipodissolve Reactions
There are very few cases of allergic reaction to Lipodissolve with no true anaphylactic reactions recorded. Occasionally, there can be some mild residual sensitivity in the area that was treated for a few weeks after. Lumps are also sometimes felt in the area, and they are transient and can be massaged out.
It is suggested that you use Arnica before and after treatment with Lipodissolve. Arnica is a naturopathic medicine that helps reduce swelling, bruising and speeds recovery.
Phosphatidylcholine Ampules
Many people looking for Phosphatidylcholine Ampules intending to inject them on their own. The problem with this is that Phosphatidylcholine is very painful when administered without the use of an anesthetic injection, and is less effective than a mix including other key ingredients. The use of a certified masotherapist is highly recommended.
